Four Pillars Of Basement Movie Review

CAST:Dillzan Wadia, Alaya Singh, Shawar Ali
    DIRECTION:Giresh Naik K
    GENRE:Thriller
    DURATION:1 hour 56 minutes

STORY: On Diwali eve, Sameer (Dillzan Wadia), a psychotic security guard, traps Ria (Alaya Singh) in the basement parking of a mall. Can she escape?

MOVIE REVIEW: The film is blatant scene-to-scene copy of Hollywood thriller P2 (2007). While the original film was mediocre itself, it seems remarkable compared to this one. The makers merely add a bizarre twist in the end, probably to come across as original. If the ongoing proceedings aren't loud and annoying enough, you have a double role to add to your misery.

The cat and mouse game between Sameer and Alaya is monotonous, not unnerving. You don't feel for her plight. His eccentric behaviour doesn't give you the creeps either. You also wonder why they replaced a dog (who was in the original) with a deaf and mute guy here, who is made to act like a dog! He actually bites people. Enough said.

If the plot still interests you, watch the original. This one is a terrible remake. Everything is in excess.
